(3/12/02, 5 p.m. ET) -- As Mariah Carey continues hunting for a new record-label home, reports are beginning to surface that she might just start her own label a la Madonna's Maverick Records. Carey has been without a record label since January, when she parted ways with Virgin Records. Marilyn Beck and Stacy Jenel Smith wrote in a recent column that "the new entity will not only feature Mariah's talents, but other artists', too."
